Dear Fandom 5k Author,
You're writing a story for one of the fandoms I love, and therefore I love you too. Don't worry about sticking to any prompts I give here if you already have an idea you want to write based on the info in my signup. The prompts are only here to hopefully provide a little inspiration if you happen to need it. If you don't need the prompts, I'm sure I'll be equally happy reading whatever you come up with. After all, a lot of the fun of reading other people's writing is getting to experience a story that I never would have thought of on my own. Darlene/Stanley Pines - I love Stan, and I love Darlene, and I love all possible ways of getting them together in any way that lasts longer than Darlene just distracting Stan long enough to eat him. I like the idea of her and Stan somehow falling into an actual relationship, because I think they could have been good together if they had been able to get past the whole predator/prey and would-be pickup-artist/target of their initial meeting. What would it take for Darlene to want to date Stan for real? Does she start off stringing him along again only to unexpectedly develop real feelings? Do they have to team up against something else and make friends/fall in love along the way? Does something go wrong with typical Gravity Falls weirdness or with one of Ford's machines, temporarily turning Stan into a spider person, causing Darlene to go, "Oh no, he's hot!"? Does Mabel decide that Darlene/Stan are Meant To Be (TM) and nothing can stand in the way of the Power of Mabel, not even predator/prey relationships? Something else? Or you could go dark and creepy where Darlene really is still planning to eat Stan but wants to toy with him some first, because that's fun too. I didn't select the smut genre tag because I'm not interested in a full PWP, but sex as part of a larger story would be fine. I opt in to oviposition, and web bondage, and whatever other things arachnomorph sex might entail. Jesus "Soos" Alzamirano Ramirez & Wendy Corduroy & Stanley Pines - I'd love anything pre-canon about these three working together at the Mystery Shack and dealing with life in Gravity Falls, maybe with some found-family feels. Or show me what happened when Stan dragged Soos and Wendy along on one of his yearly road trips to vandalize the other Oregon tourist traps. Or maybe the three of them keep roping each other into Summerween shenanigans that progressively escalate over the years. Or give missing scenes from during canon with the three of them going on some adventure together that needs to be kept secret from Dipper and Mabel, due to it being supernatural in nature, criminal, or both. Maybe they have to fight off a weird infestation of something after a load of off-brand jelly beans turns out to be monster eggs. Or maybe Stan leads them on a heist because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Or give me post-canon adventures when everyone is older and wiser but still failing to stay out of trouble.

The Narrator - Who or what is the Narrator, and just how unreliable of a narrator is he? Is he a human who loses his humanity at some point due to things he has done or were done to him? Was he never really human but somehow forgot that important fact? Is his situation something else entirely? Do the songs of the album relate events in the order they happened? Or have they been scrambled as part of the Narrator being lost in time and/or whatever other weirdness is going on? Has the Narrator gotten himself stuck in a time loop and the end of "Emerald Star" curves right back around to the beginning of "Lost in Time and Space"? What exactly does it mean for a person to get Black Brained, to death or otherwise?
The Fortune Teller - Based on what she says to the Narrator in "Ancient Names, part 1," the Fortune Teller seems to have real powers, and I would love to know anything more about her. Does she just use her powers to make a buck off of anyone who asks for a reading, or does she have some kind of larger goal, either good or evil? Do her powers always work, or is it one of those situations where sometimes she gets real visions and other times she has to fake it? What other cosmic weirdness has she seen or encountered in her life/career? After "Ancient Names" does she try to help the Narrator or set out to thwart him or just try to forget she ever met him? Is she possibly the "You" in "Secret of Life," or is that maybe the Emerald Star?

Is she some kind of monster, maybe even an eldritch abomination who just happened to be wearing a pretty human skinsuit when the Narrator met her? Did she start out as a human but somehow transformed into something else during her travels? How does her side of the story compare to the Narrator's version of events? Did she ever really love the him and/or try to make him believe that she did, or has she been trying to get away from him since they first met and he can't take a hint to leave her alone?

Grace d'Argento & Julian Slink - Did they interact at all in the year between Grace agreeing to race and when the main show takes place? Were there qualifying races Grace had to drive in before the main event? Did Slink just show up to annoy her from time to time to make sure his "hand-picked battle bitch" would be ready to put on a good show when the time came? I would also love to see missing scenes from any point in canon, maybe the rest of their "twenty questions for twenty punches" game or Grace (and Arthur if you so choose) having to put up with Slink as a road trip companion. Or insert an extra leg of the race where Grace and Slink have to team up against another threat which, as usual, turns out to be all Slink's and/or Heart's fault. Or maybe this time the monster is Grace's fault somehow. I'd also love to see something post-canon where they both somehow survive, because of course they would have if the show had gotten a second season. If they met up again after destroying Heart Tower, how would their goals have shifted? Would they try even harder to kill each other because they don't have any reason to hold back anymore, or would they have enough built up grudging respect for each other to team up again to go rescue Arthur, or would their reactions be something else entirely?

What I Do Want:
This is one of my "I love everyone in this bar!" fandoms, so feel free to include whatever other major or minor canon characters you want to fill supporting roles, whether they're in the tag set or not, because they're all entertaining, or make up OCs. In general, I really loved the Denver plotline in season three and wish the show could have devoted more screentime to it, so if you happened to want to focus on to drama of attempting to live normal lives in a safe zone in the middle of the apocalypse, then feel free to fudge the timeline to allow everyone to spend more time in the city before everything falls apart. I would also love to get a peek at what their stay in quarantine before being allowed into Denver was like. Stories focusing on other parts of canon or stories set after season three are great too.
Jolene Walker & Flesh | Phil Fleishman - I'm still trying to filter my squee and condense it into something coherent for this one, finished prompts should be up by Apr. 9th - I love that Jolene is pretty much a complete Everywoman in terms of not having any special skills or abilities for surviving the apocalypse while Phil looks like he should be an Everyman but was Jolene's first introduction to the idea that vampirism was a curable condition, and then she ended up on an awkward road trip with him, and then she found out he was having some kind of psychic visions, then he died, and she saw him crawl his way out of his grave (and she may or may not know about his other instances of death/resurrection while in Denver), and then they had to pull a handcuffed-together escape from a prison bus, and now they're on another awkward road trip together on a quest to be reunited with their respective significant others. They seem to be on pretty friendly terms even before Phil took three bullets for Jolene, but I can't help feeling that she probably has a constant refrain of "Oh fuck, what now?" playing in the back of her mind in regard to Phil and how he just keeps getting weirder.
Flesh | Phil Fleishman & Julius Romanski - I'm still trying to filter my squee and condense it into something coherent for this one, finished prompts should be up by Apr. 9th - I'm most interested in Phil and Julius as humans, but if you want to throw inflashbacks to their time as vampires for contrast, that's cool too.
Doc | Sarah Carol/Jolene Walker - I'm still trying to filter my squee and condense it into something coherent for this one, finished prompts should be up by Apr. 9th - I've loved watching theis relationship progress from flirting to pining while separated to reconnecting to officially dating. I had a total D: reaction when they were separated again, and that conversation in "Christ Pose" broke my heart when Jolene told Phil she loved Sarah but, when asked if Sarah loved her back, could only answer, "It's complicated; she's complicated," completely unaware that Sarah was literally willing to kill to be reunited with her. Therefore, I would love to see some reunion fic for Sarah/Jolene, however you choose to make it happen. I didn't select the smut genre tag because I'm not interested in a full PWP, but sex as part of a larger story would be fine.
Doc | Sarah Carol & Julius Romanski - I'm still trying to filter my squee and condense it into something coherent for this one, finished prompts should be up by Apr. 9th - I love the friendship that sprang up between these two and how it gets expressed both in big moments like Sarah being willing to jump on Dmitri to try to save Julius and in smaller moments like when they're hanging out and playing cards in the cannibal police station and in details like how sometimes (like when Vanessa and Scarlet are digging up Axel or during the confrontation with Harrison) they'll just shoot each other these little silent looks to see how the other is reacting to a situation. Also, the grins on both of their faces when Sarah is drunk and play-punching Julius in the arm while calling him a yeti is one of the most adorable moments in the show

In general, I really loved the Denver plotline in season three and wish the show could have devoted more screentime to it, so if you happened to want to focus on to drama of attempting to live normal lives in a safe zone in the middle of the apocalypse, then feel free to fudge the timeline to allow everyone to spend more time in the city before everything falls apart. I would also love to get a peek at what their stay in quarantine before being allowed into Denver was like. Stories focusing on other parts of canon or stories set after season three are great too.
Jolene Walker & Flesh | Phil Fleishman - I'm still trying to filter my squee and condense it into something coherent for this one, finished prompts should be up by Apr. 9th - I love that Jolene is pretty much a complete Everywoman in terms of not having any special skills or abilities for surviving the apocalypse while Phil looks like he should be an Everyman but was Jolene's first introduction to the idea that vampirism was a curable condition, and then she ended up on an awkward road trip with him, and then she found out he was having some kind of psychic visions, then he died, and she saw him crawl his way out of his grave (and she may or may not know about his other instances of death/resurrection while in Denver), and then they had to pull a handcuffed-together escape from a prison bus, and now they're on another awkward road trip together on a quest to be reunited with their respective significant others. They seem to be on pretty friendly terms even before Phil took three bullets for Jolene, but I can't help feeling that she probably has a constant refrain of "Oh fuck, what now?" playing in the back of her mind in regard to Phil and how he just keeps getting weirder.
Flesh | Phil Fleishman & Julius Romanski - I'm still trying to filter my squee and condense it into something coherent for this one, finished prompts should be up by Apr. 9th - I'm most interested in Phil and Julius as humans, but if you want to throw inflashbacks to their time as vampires for contrast, that's cool too.
Doc | Sarah Carol/Jolene Walker - I'm still trying to filter my squee and condense it into something coherent for this one, finished prompts should be up by Apr. 9th - I've loved watching theis relationship progress from flirting to pining while separated to reconnecting to officially dating. I had a total D: reaction when they were separated again, and that conversation in "Christ Pose" broke my heart when Jolene told Phil she loved Sarah but, when asked if Sarah loved her back, could only answer, "It's complicated; she's complicated," completely unaware that Sarah was literally willing to kill to be reunited with her. Therefore, I would love to see some reunion fic for Sarah/Jolene, however you choose to make it happen. I didn't select the smut genre tag because I'm not interested in a full PWP, but sex as part of a larger story would be fine.
Doc | Sarah Carol & Julius Romanski - I'm still trying to filter my squee and condense it into something coherent for this one, finished prompts should be up by Apr. 9th - I love the friendship that sprang up between these two and how it gets expressed both in big moments like Sarah being willing to jump on Dmitri to try to save Julius and in smaller moments like when they're hanging out and playing cards in the cannibal police station and in details like how sometimes (like when Vanessa and Scarlet are digging up Axel or during the confrontation with Harrison) they'll just shoot each other these little silent looks to see how the other is reacting to a situation. Also, the grins on both of their faces when Sarah is drunk and play-punching Julius in the arm while calling him a yeti is one of the most adorable moments in the show
